HE SUNSHINE ATTIC CURRICULUM - CSA’s mission chooses to use the Sunshine Girls as a primary part of the program to encourage and teach the importance of goal setting, interacting and journal writing.

The girls will:

• Know how to decide what they want to achieve in life;
• Know what's important from what's irrelevant or a distraction; and
• Know how to build self-confidence based on successful achievement of goals
• ​Receive inspiration and become motivated to encourage others, and​
• Know how to redefine their lives by making healthy decisions,
• Know the importance of goal setting,
• Know the importance of time management; and
• Define and establish what is good character, morals and values

 

Carrie's Sunshine Attics will give away Self Esteem Kits to each venue it visits to introduce the Sunshine Girls.​

Self Esteem By Design

​

Carrie's Sunshine Attic is proud to announce the “Self Esteem by Design ™” program.  The goal is to give the girls an opportunity to conceive, design and name their own dolls.  The girls will manufacture a doll in their own likeness and how they see themselves.  When completed the girls can keep, share with their peers or donate their dolls.  We believe that by giving the girls an opportunity to create their own dolls, it will give them the following skills:

Creative thought· Problem Solving· Team Building· Positive Reinforcement

After the girls have produced their dolls, they will be able to choose a positive affirmation last name for their doll, which they feel best exemplifies what they want for their future or how the doll makes them feel.  For example, a girl whose name is Lisa can choose the name, Love.  The doll’s name will be Lisa Love.

The affirmation names chosen by Carrie Robinson and their meaning:

Nefertiti - Because she is a Queen;

Dream - To signify that she is committed to pursuing hers

Classy – To remind her that she is a lady

Free – Her spirit cannot be contained

Chance – The world is wide open and hers for the taking

Sassy – She walks with authority and confidence

Soul – She is a deep thinker yet sensitive to the world

Charm – Brings sunshine and happiness wherever she goes

Charity – Begins at home but will teach it to the world around her

Hope – Believes that all things are possible for those who believe in themselves

Joy – A light that never fades

Ebony – Proud and aware of her history

         

Carrie’s Sunshine Attic will be taking the Self Esteem by Design ™ to Day Care Centers, After School Centers and Houses of Worship in and around Dallas, TX.
